Respiratory outbreak declared at Lee Manor

UPDATE November 28, 2025: 

On November 28, Public Health declared a respiratory outbreak on the 2 South home area at Lee Manor. There are currently three residents experiencing respiratory symptoms, with test results pending. The affected residents are isolating and receiving care. In an effort to prevent further spread, roommates and high-risk contacts are being closely monitored.

As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place on the 1 South home area. Rapid antigen test results have returned positive for COVID-19 for two residents, with further test results pending.

We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place as we take swift action to halt the spread of the virus. In response, we are taking the following steps:

  • Home-wide universal masking (surgical mask) is required for all staff and visitors.
  • Increased surveillance, and enhanced infection prevention and control measures including audits, and hand hygiene audits.
  • All staff are following respiratory outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Surgical masks or N95 masks are required when entering an isolation room.
    • PPE signage is posted at the resident’s room.
  • Designated Care Partners are reduced to one (1) DCP per resident visit for residents in isolation and one (1) general visitor for all other residents on the 1 South and 2 South home areas.
