Grey Roots to Host Launch Event for Volume 19 of Northern Terminus: The African-Canadian History Journal

On Saturday, June 1st at 1:00 p.m., Grey Roots Museum & Archives hosts a launch celebration for Volume 19 of Northern Terminus: The African-Canadian History Journal. The two-hour event is free to attend and takes place in the Grey Roots Theatre. The program features sharing and discussion around the contents of Volume 19, as well as updates from community groups working to promote Grey County’s Black history. Complimentary refreshments will be served following the program.

First published in 2002, the goal of Northern Terminus is to provide readers with information about the historical Black community of Grey County. Although the focus is on historical events and people within Grey County, the wider regional, provincial, national, and international contexts that shaped Black history and presence in Grey County are also of interest to the Journal. Through essays, interviews and reviews, Northern Terminus highlights the work of authors, historians, and organizations.

Copies of Northern Terminus Volume 19 and earlier volumes will be available for purchase at the event. They can also be accessed at no charge in digital form at greyroots.com/story/northern-terminus.

Volume 19 of Northern Terminus: The African-Canadian History Journal was made possible through the contributions of volunteers. Special thanks to the authors for their time and effort.
