Committees
Grey County Council forms a number of committees to focus on specific service areas and priorities. Grey County also recruits public members to sit on advisory committees to Council.
Sub committees may meet on a regular schedule or as required. Sub committees include councilors as voting members. County staff will support the committee.
Advisory committees typically meet at the call of the chair. Some committees, such as the Accessibility Advisory Committee or Planning and Economic Development Advisory Committee are required by legislation. Other committees, such as the Agricultural Advisory Committee, have been formed by Council to provide advice and guide decision making. Voting membership is made up of a combination of councilors and appointed public members.
The responsibilities, term duration, and activities of each committee and subcommittee varies. Please consult the advisory committee terms of reference for full details.
