2017 Summer Road Construction
Over the next few months, Grey County will be completing seasonal road work across the region. For a full construction map, please visit www.grey.ca/roads.
Projects for 2017
Some of the construction projects will require the temporary closure of a road. All property owners and residents will be notified of the planned construction. Project dates may be affected by weather and other factors.
Grey Road 18
Grey Road 18 will be under construction from approximately April 18 to July 21, 2017. The road will remain open with alternating lane closures from Grey Road 5 (Mennonite Corner) north to Highway 21 (Springmount) for rehabilitation. A bridge will also be rehabilitated and a culvert will be replaced.
Grey Road 119
Grey Road 119 will be under construction from approximately May 1 to August 31, 2017. The project will be divided into two parts. The road will remain open with alternating lane closures from Grey Road 13 to Grey Road 2 for pulverizing and paving. The road will be closed to non-local traffic from Grey Road 2 to the Town of the Blue Mountains 4th Line (Banks) for reconstruction. A detour route will be provided for non-local traffic. Garbage collection will continue as normal.
Grey Road 25
Grey Road 25 will be under construction from approximately July 17 to August 25, 2017. The road will remain open with alternating lane closures from Highway 6 (Dornoch) west to Grey Road 3 for pulverizing and paving.
Grey Road 112
A bridge will be replaced on Grey Road 112 between July 4 and August 25, 2017. The road will be closed for the duration of construction. A detour route will be provided.
