Age-Friendly Communities Survey

What’s important to you in an age-friendly community? Let us know by completing our short 5-10 minute survey. We want to hear from youth, seniors and everyone in between.

Grey County is reviewing the County Official Plan through a project called Recolour Grey. Early feedback suggests that county policies need to better reflect and support youth and older adults.

A group of University of Guelph Rural Planning and Development Master’s students are investigating these issues. In addition to the survey, the students will hold small-scale community engagement sessions with both youth and older adults to determine the needs identified by Grey County residents. There will also be outreach to community groups and key stakeholders.

Once results from the community engagement sessions and surveys are summarized, the students will review policies from other age-friendly communities that are similar to Grey County. Recommendations will be given to inform policy that promotes the vitality of age-friendly communities within Grey County.
