COVID-19 outbreak declared 2nd and 3rd Floors Rockwood Terrace
Update November 17: Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the 3rd floor home area at Rockwood Terrace. There are currently four positive resident cases. They are isolating and receiving care. Roommates and high-risk contacts are also in isolation and being closely monitored. Outbreak protocols remain in place for the 2nd floor home area.
We are working with our Public Health partners to continually assess the situation. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place as we take swift action to halt the spread of the virus. The following actions have been implemented:

Increased surveillance and enhanced infection prevention and control measures.

Infection prevention and control audits, and hand hygiene audits.

All staff are following respiratory outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate PPE as required.

All staff and visitors are required to wear N95 masks and eye protection.

General visitors are limited to 1 per resident.

Residents in isolation are limited to 1 Designated Care Partner.
