COVID-19 Outbreak declared over on 2nd Floor at Rockwood Terrace
Update October 23, 2023: The COVID-19 outbreak on the 2nd floor home area at Rockwood Terrace has been declared over. Grey Bruce Public Health were valuable contributors to the management of the outbreak, and we are thankful for the dedication they have for our residents. Each outbreak showcases the resilience and commitment our team members have for the safety and wellbeing of the residents. We are appreciative of remarkable community of families, visitors, and residents who consistently demonstrate care and support for all in the home.
The safety of our residents, families, and staff remains our primary focus, and we will continue with the following protocols:
- Regular infection prevention and control audits
- Hand hygiene audits
- Our home continues to encourage the use of masks

On October 7, 2023, Public Health declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the 2nd floor at Rockwood Terrace. Enhanced infection prevention and control measures are in place as we take swift action to halt the spread of the virus. The residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 are isolating and receiving care. Roommates and high-risk contacts are being closely monitored. Enhanced infection prevention and control measures are in place. All staff are following respiratory outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate PPE as required. All staff and visitors on the 2nd Floor home area are required to wear N95 masks at all times.
We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation.
Visitors are limited to one per resident on the 2nd Floor home area, and residents in isolation are limited to one Designated Care Partner.
