Gastrointestinal outbreak declared at Lee Manor

Update March 21, 2025:

On March 21st Public Health declared the gastrointestinal outbreak over on the 1 South home area at Lee Manor. As a reminder, the gastrointestinal outbreak remains active on the 2 North home area. The following enhanced infection control protocols remain in place:

  • Increased surveillance and enhanced infection prevention and control measures including audits, and hand hygiene audits.
  • All staff are following outbreak protocols and are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Home wide universal masking (surgical mask) is required for all staff and visitors.
  • Residents in isolation are limited to one (1) Designated Care Partner.  
  • Public Health recommends that general visitors should postpone all non-essential visits to residents for the duration of the outbreak.

The safety and wellbeing of our residents, families, and staff is our focus. Please refrain from visiting the home if you are feeling unwell. If you require additional information, please contact the home at 519-376-4420.


Update March 17, 2025:

On March 17, Public Health has declared the gastrointestinal outbreak over on the 2 South and 3 South home areas at Lee Manor.

As a reminder, the gastrointestinal outbreak remains active on the 1 South and 2 North homes areas.


Update March 12, 2025:

Public Health has declared the gastrointestinal outbreak over on the 3 North home area at Lee Manor. As a reminder, the gastrointestinal outbreak remains active on the 1 South, 2 North, 2 South and 3 South home areas.


Update March 10, 2025: 

Public Health has declared a Gastrointestinal outbreak on the 1 North home area at Lee Manor. There are currently four residents experiencing symptoms. As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place for all home areas. All symptomatic residents are isolating and receiving care.

We are working closely with our Public Health partners, and the safety and wellbeing of our residents, families, and team members is our highest priority. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place.


Update March 7, 2025: 

Public Health has declared a Gastrointestinal outbreak on the 2 North home area at Lee Manor. There are currently three residents experiencing symptoms. As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place for the 2 South, 3 North and 3 South home areas. All symptomatic residents are isolating and receiving care.

We are working closely with our Public Health partners, and the safety and wellbeing of our residents, families, and team members is our highest priority. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place.


Update March 6, 2025: Public Health has declared a Gastrointestinal outbreak on the 2 South home area at Lee Manor. There are currently eight residents experiencing symptoms, and they are isolating and receiving care.  As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place for the 3 South and 3 North home areas. One test result has returned identifying the agent a Norovirus.

We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place. 


Update March 5, 2025 

On March 5, Public Health declared a Gastrointestinal outbreak on the 3 South home area at Lee Manor. There are currently two residents experiencing symptoms, and they are isolating and receiving care.  As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place for the 3 North home area, and we are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place.


March 3, 2025

On February 28, Public Health declared a gastrointestinal outbreak on the 3 North home area at Lee Manor. There are currently three residents experiencing symptoms, and they are isolating and receiving care. We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place.
