Gastrointestinal Outbreak Declared Over at Rockwood Terrace.

Update: June 6, 2023

Public Health has declared the gastrointestinal outbreak over on the 3rd floor home area at Rockwood Terrace.

As a reminder, the COVID-19 Outbreak remains active on the 3rd floor, and the following protocols remain in place:

  • Increased surveillance, and enhanced infection prevention and control (IPAC) measures, along with additional Infection Prevention & Control Audits.
  • All staff are following outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate PPE as required.
  • Designated Care Partners are reduced to one (1) DCP per resident visit for residents in isolation, and will be provided the appropriate PPE. All DCPs on the 3rd floor are required to wear a N95 mask at all times.
  • Public Health recommends that general visitors should postpone all non-essential visits to residents within the outbreak area for the duration of the outbreak.
  • We also encourage 2nd floor DCPs and general visitors to wear their masks at all times during their visit.

Public Health has declared a gastrointestinal outbreak on the 3rd floor home area at Rockwood Terrace.  There are currently six residents experiencing symptoms.

As a reminder, the COVID-19 outbreak on the 3rd floor home area remains active.

The affected residents and high risk contacts are isolating and receiving care. We are working with our Public Health partners and monitoring the situation closely.
