Grey County paramedics recognized for exemplary service

Six Grey County paramedics have been recognized by the Province for their years of exceptional service. The Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal is awarded to professionals who have served at least 20 years in emergency medical services and performed their live-saving duties to the highest standard of care, conduct, and efficiency.

At the March 13, 2025, meeting of Grey County Council, Sherry Foster, Paul Sollors, and Stephany Wilson were recognized for their outstanding service. Melissa Kaufman, Shaunna Schafer, and Bradi Watson also received awards but were unable to attend the meeting.

"These dedicated paramedics have demonstrated remarkable commitment to emergency medical services throughout their careers," said Kevin McNab, Chief of Paramedic Services with Grey County. "Their devotion to care helps make our communities safer places to live and I’m happy to see them recognized for their contributions.”

Sherry Foster previously worked at Grey County's paramedic base in Owen Sound and now serves in community paramedicine. Melissa Kaufman serves the Hanover area and Paul Sollors the Owen Sound area. Bradi Watson works out of all bases across the County. Shaunna Schafer serves the Markdale area. Stephany Wilson worked out of Markdale before transferring to the Craigleith base.

Grey County Paramedic Services takes great pride in recognizing Sherry Foster, Melissa Kaufman, Shaunna Schafer, Paul Sollors, Stephany Wilson and Bradi Watson for their remarkable service. For over two decades, these outstanding paramedics have provided exceptional care during emergencies, and we extend our deepest gratitude and congratulations.
