Grey County Wins Provincial Award
Grey County received an award for Excellence in Municipal Systems for our work with Municipal511 at this year’s Municipal Information Systems Association’s (MISA) annual general meeting.
A panel of representatives from various Ontario municipalities selected the Grey County’s submission for the Municipal511 – Road Issue Management project, as one of this year’s award recipients.
The award recognizes an Ontario municipality and/or one or more individuals within the municipality, who have successfully undertaken a significant initiative or set a new standard that other municipalities may follow. Additional criteria included:
- Demonstrated improvement in service delivery to clients, citizens or businesses;
- High level of collaboration between IT and other municipal departments;
- Furtherance of a municipality's strategic objectives using information technology; Cost savings/avoidance, efficiencies and scalability for use in other municipalities.
As a recipient of this Award, staff from the IT department gave a presentation outlining the winning project during the Awards session of the virtual Annual Conference on June 3, 2021.
