Holiday Office Closure and Access to Services

Grey County offices will be closed from December 24 at 12:00 p.m. to January 4 at 8:30 a.m.

Essential services, such as long-term care, paramedic services and transportation services are available.

Ontario Works and Child Care

To speak with a representative from Social Services or Children’s Services, please call 1‑800-567-4739 and follow the instructions on the phone tree.

Emergency Shelter

If you or someone you know needs emergency shelter programs, please call 2-1-1.

Grey County Housing Tenant Services

For maintenance emergencies (heat, water, locks, flooding etc.), call 519-376-5744.

For other tenancy concerns, please leave a voicemail with your Tenant Services Coordinator. If your situation is urgent and you are in danger, call the police.

Provincial Offences Administration

Provincial Offences will be closed for all in-person services during the holidays and during the provincewide lockdown. Learn about alternatives to in-person payments.

Transportation Services

For urgent transportation services issues, please call 1-800-567-4739 and follow the instructions on the phone tree.

All Other Administrative Services

All administrative services will resume on January 4. During the closure you may contact us and we will follow up when we return.

Accessing Services after January 4

Grey County offices will be closed to the public during the provincewide lockdown. To access services after January 4, please call the office at 1-800-567-4739 to speak with a service representative. Many services can also be accessed online by navigating the page on www.Grey.ca.

Grey Roots Museum and Archives

Grey Roots Museum and Archives will be closing at 5:00 p.m. on December 23 and will be closed during the provincewide lockdown. www.GreyRoots.com

Business Enterprise Centre

Beginning January 4, services will be offered remotely by appointment. To reach the Business Enterprise Centre, call 519-371-3232 or email bec [at] grey.ca (bec[at]grey[dot]ca).
