January 9, 2025 Grey County Council Highlights

County Council
- Council accepted the minutes of the December 12 Grey County Council and Committee of the Whole meetings. Council Committee

- Council approved the purchase of land for a new Patrol D transportation depot. By-Law
Committee of the Whole
- Council approved membership on various standing committees and made an amendment to the number of members on the Budget and Finance Committee to permit one member from each municipality. Report
- Council received a report on an application for an official plan amendment in the Town of The Blue Mountains for a development known as Thornbury Acres. Report
- County staff will prepare an update to the nuisance beaver and coyote by-laws in consultation with the agricultural sector, trappers, municipalities, provincial ministries and the public. Report
- Council approved a non-resident trapping request. Report
- Councillor Eccles provided notice he will be bringing forward a motion to the next meeting requesting staff provide a report on the current committee structure.
