Lee Manor COVID-19 Outbreak Declared on 3 South
Public Health declared a COVID-19 Outbreak at Lee Manor on 3 South. There is currently 1 confirmed resident PCR test, with 2 resident test results awaiting PCR confirmation for COVID-19. POA's of residents who have tested positive have been notified. As a precaution all residents on 3 South are isolating and receiving in room care and meal service. Residents were PCR tested yesterday, results pending and PCR testing is being completed today and tomorrow for staff that worked on the wing.
Enhanced infection control protocols are in place as we take swift action to halt the spread of the virus. We are working closely with our Public Health partners, and the safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff is our highest priority. As a reminder, the COVID-19 outbreak on 3 North continues to be managed and the home area remains in outbreak protocols.
In response, we are taking the following steps for 3 North and South:
- All staff are wearing N95 masks and eye protection.
- Designated Care Partner on visits are limited to one visitor per resident at a time, and are required to wear N95 masks and eye protection.
- Additional Hand Hygiene Audits have been implemented.
- HEPA filter units have been strategically placed on both home areas to maximize air quality.
- All General Visits are suspended.
