Local Stars Shine in Grey Roots Museum’s Our Roots Are Showing Concert Series

Grey Roots Museum and Archives is proud to announce the return of Our Roots Are Showing - the popular spring concert series - to the Thomas Wheildon Theatre at Grey Roots. The third annual series features a wealth of homegrown talent sharing original songs in an intimate acoustic venue over four Thursday evenings from March 20 to June 5.

The series begins with two acclaimed singer-songwriters, Steve Dickinson and Dean McTaggart, on March 20. Steve Dickinson has shared the stage with many musical greats, including a tour and album recorded with the late, great Alto Reed (saxophonist for Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band). Dean McTaggart has penned hits for Amanda Marshall, Wynonna Judd, and many more. He has twice been nominated for a Juno Award for Songwriter of the Year.

Later entries in the series include dynamic country-blues performer J.D. Crosstown on April 17, powerhouse singer Gracie Jet on May 15, and a selection of rising young stars from the upcoming 50th Summerfolk Festival at a special preview on June 5.

Tickets are now on sale for each concert. Single concert tickets are $20 each. A series pass including admission to all four shows is only $60. Grey Roots members enjoy discounted rates. See greyroots.com for tickets and more information.
