Notice: East Bayshore Road Closure

To safely accommodate sewer and forcemain construction at the new East Bayshore sewage pump station, East Bayshore Road/Grey Road 15 will be closed to through traffic from 3rd Avenue East in Owen Sound to Princes Street/Bayshore Road in Leith – Municipality of Meaford weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Tuesday, August 17 until Friday, September 3, 2021.

Local traffic will be maintained north and south of the daytime full closure along East Bayshore Road/Grey Road 15 from 3rd Avenue East to 32nd Street East (including full access to the Kiwanis Soccer Complex) and from Princes Street/Bayshore Road in Leith to 400 m north of 32nd Street East on East Bayshore road. There will be no through traffic including no through emergency access on East Bayshore Road from 32rd Street East to 400m north of 32nd Street East during the weekday daytime closure.

Construction / Project Facts:

• The City of Owen Sound is upgrading and replacing two existing wastewater pump stations with one wastewater pump station.

• The new wastewater pump station will improve performance, reliability and have the ability to service future growth in the Owen Sound area.
