November 14 meeting Highlights

Grey County Council met on November 14, 2024 in the Council Chamber and virtually on Zoom. The meeting was immediately followed by a session of Committee of the Whole. A recording of the meeting can be found on the Grey County YouTube Channel.

County Council

• Council accepted the minutes of the October 24 Grey County Council and Committee of the Whole meetings.   Council   Committee

Committee of the Whole

• Council awarded a tender for the replacement of an elevator at Grey County’s affordable housing high rise apartment building in Owen Sound. The project was awarded to Allen Hastings Ltd for $867,000.  Report
• Council discussed possible delegation topics for the upcoming Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference. At the conference, municipalities may be granted meetings with provincial ministries to discuss local issues. Grey County will submit delegation requests related to rural transportation, rural healthcare and hospital closures, and the need for more municipal funding streams.
