Outbreak Declared on 2 South Home Area
Updated October 12: We are pleased to report that Public Health has declared the COVID-19 outbreak over on the 2 South home area at Lee Manor. We would like to thank our team members for their continued dedication to the safety and well-being of our residents, and we truly appreciate the support from our designated care partners and families. Grey Bruce Public Health were valuable contributors to the management of the outbreak, and we are thankful for their guidance and assistance.
Updated October 4: We are pleased to report that Public Health declared the COVID-19 outbreak over on the 2 North home area at Lee Manor yesterday. As a reminder, the COVID-19 outbreak remains active on the 2 South home area and the protocols listed below remain in place.
Updated October 1: Test results have returned and confirm the 2 South Home Area is under a COVID-19 outbreak.
Updated September 26:
Today, September 26th, Public Health declared a respiratory outbreak on the 2 South home area at Lee Manor. There are currently five residents experiencing respiratory symptoms, and test results are pending. The symptomatic residents are isolating and receiving care.
As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place for the 2 North home area as we manage the COVID-19 outbreak. We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation.
In response, the following steps are in place as we take swift action to halt the spread of the virus:
- Increased surveillance, and enhanced infection prevention and control measures.
- Infection prevention and control audits, and hand hygiene audits.
- All staff are following respiratory outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate PPE as required.
- Home wide universal masking (surgical mask) has been implemented for all staff and visitors.
- N95 masks and additional PPE is required when entering an isolation room.
- Residents in isolation are limited to 1 Designated Care Partner (DCP).
- General visitors are limited to 1 per resident on 2 North and 2 South.

Today, September 20th, Public Health declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the 2 North home area at Lee Manor. Test results have returned confirming eight positive resident cases. In an effort to prevent further spread, the affected residents, as well as roommates and high-risk contacts, are isolating and being closely monitored. We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation.
