Paramedic Services Week 2020

May 24 to 30 is Paramedic Services Week in Canada. The theme this year is Pandemic: Paramedics on the Front Line and demonstrates the important role that paramedics play on the front lines of the healthcare system during a pandemic.

“This year more than ever, we’re thankful for our paramedics and our frontline staff who are dedicated to saving lives through education, service and teamwork,” says Kevin McNab, Director of Paramedic Services. “While we’re not able to perform the same public outreach activities as in previous years, we’re excited to be able to connect with the community in different ways.”

On Friday, May 29, Grey County paramedic Joe Draper will host a special Facebook Live ambulance tour. This fun behind the scenes tour will share how paramedic teams work together, the important machines and tools they use, and what to expect if an ambulance gets called. Find Grey County Paramedic Services or the County of Grey on Facebook to watch this event live starting at 11 a.m.
