Public Notice - Sale of Land

Grey County intends to sell two properties on the west side of Owen Sound through the services of a realtor.

• 1391 8th Avenue West
• 1368 7th Avenue West

These sales are both subject to a shared driveway easement. If you have any comments or concerns, you can submit them before noon on September 12, 2023 to Tara Warder, County Clerk, at tara.warder [at] grey.ca (tara[dot]warder[at]grey[dot]ca) or by mail to the Clerk's Department at 595 9th Avenue East, Owen Sound, N4K 3E3. Council will consider a by-law to authorize the sales following the comment period.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the County of Grey declared the following lands as surplus to the needs of the municipality and intends to sell these lands through the services of a realtor and in accordance with Grey County’s Sale of Land Procedure.

• 1391 8th Avenue West, Owen Sound, legally described as Lot 34, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey together with a shared driveway easement over Lot 35, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey, subject to a shared driveway easement benefitting Lot 35, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey, and subject to a driveway encroachment easement benefitting Lot 33, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey, and
• 1368 7th Avenue “A” West, Owen Sound, legally described as Lot 40, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey together with a shared driveway easement over Lot 39, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey, subject to a shared driveway easement benefitting Lot 33, Registered Plan 444, City of Owen Sound, County of Grey;

The earliest date that Council may consider passing a by-law to authorize the sale of the land is during the Grey County Council meeting of September 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Council Chambers, 595 9th Ave E, Owen Sound.
Those wishing to submit comments must do so in writing to Tara Warder, County Clerk at tara.warder [at] grey.ca (tara[dot]warder[at]grey[dot]ca) or to the County of Grey, Clerk’s Department, 595 9th Ave. E., Owen Sound, ON no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
