Rediscover Grey and support local businesses
Now more than ever, it’s important to support our communities and small businesses. When you buy local, your money stays close to home and you give back to our small business owners who have done so much to support our communities. Our small businesses are vital for a strong and resilient economy and they need our help.
Grey County has launched Rediscover Grey in support of our local businesses. This summer campaign highlights all that Grey County has to offer and encourages everyone to safely explore and ‘rediscover’ local businesses, restaurants and outdoor spaces.
You can Rediscover Grey by recommending a favourite place or locally-owned store or market, and sharing your experiences online with the hashtag #RediscoverGrey.
Enter the Rediscover Grey weekly contest and you could even win one of nine local gift baskets valued at $150 each. Simply take a photo of you exploring the week’s featured municipality and post it publicly on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #RediscoverGrey.
Full contest details are available online at VisitGrey.ca/Rediscover.
If you are looking for a new outdoor space to explore, check out Grey County's Outdoor Activity Map. It’s your guide to safely enjoying Grey County's great outdoors this season. We've mapped exciting public outdoor locations including waterfalls, trail access points, canoe and boat launches, beaches, and scenic lookouts. The map is also a great tool if you arrive at a popular destination only to find it’s too busy. Find the full map with more details at VisitGrey.ca/Rediscover.
As always, remember to keep yourself and others safe when you Rediscover Grey. Maintain physical distancing of at least two metres, wear a face covering when physical distancing isn’t possible, wash your hands frequently with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and follow the advice and recommendations of public health. There are a number of helpful tips online at www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca.
