Reduced Load Restrictions in Effect March 1

Reduced load restrictions of 5 tonnes per axle will take effect on many Grey County-owned roads on March 1.  

Roads are at their most vulnerable to damage in the spring. Load restrictions help to extend the lifespan of the road surface by minimizing damage from heavy vehicles. 

Load restrictions are typically in place from March 1 to May 1. Dates may be adjusted depending on conditions of the year.
