Respiratory outbreak declared over at Grey Gables
Update April 28, 2025 - Public Health declared the respiratory outbreak over on the Pine Ridge home area at Grey Gables.

Update April 24, 2025 - Public Health has declared the respiratory outbreak over on the Maple Lane and Valley View home areas at Grey Gables. Outbreak protocols remain in place on the Pine Ridge home area.
Enhanced infection control protocols remain in place:
- Universal masking (surgical mask) remains in place for all staff and visitors on the Pine Ridge home area.
- Increased surveillance and enhanced infection prevention and control measures including audits, and hand hygiene audits.
- All staff are following outbreak protocols and are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Residents in isolation are limited to one (1) Designated Care Partner.

Update April 16, 2025 - Public Health has declared a respiratory outbreak on the Pine Ridge home area at Grey Gables. There are currently four residents experiencing respiratory symptoms, with test results pending. The symptomatic residents are isolating and receiving care.
As a reminder, outbreak protocols remain in place for the Maple Lane and Valley View home areas. Enhanced infection control protocols are in place and the following steps have been implemented:
- Home wide universal masking (surgical mask) is required for all staff and visitors.
- Increased surveillance, and enhanced infection prevention and control measures including audits and hand hygiene audits.
- All staff are following respiratory outbreak protocols and wearing the appropriate PPE as required.
- Residents in isolation are limited to one (1) Designated Care Partner (DCP).
- General visitors are limited to one (1) per resident on all home areas.

There are currently eight residents experiencing respiratory symptoms, with test results pending. The symptomatic residents are isolating and receiving care. We are working with our Public Health partners and closely monitoring the situation.
