Seasonal Coronavirus Outbreak Declared Over at Lee Manor

The Seasonal Coronavirus outbreak at Lee Manor has been declared over by Public Health. Thank you to the community, our residents and staff for your patience and diligence during the outbreak.
A number of illnesses remain present in out community. We remind everyone to remain vigilant and wash hands frequently to help prevent the unnecessary spread of viruses.
UPDATE: March 1, 2022
The outbreak affecting 2 North at Lee Manor continues to be well managed. The virus has been identified as Seasonal Coronavirus which is one of many agents that cause the common cold and related respiratory tract infections that occur annually in Canada; it is distinct from the novel coronavirus, which is now known as COVID-19.
There are currently 4 active resident cases and 1 active staff case. The following enhancements are in place to help manage the situation:
- Enhanced infection prevention and control measures are in place.
- In-room dining service is being provided for all symptomatic residents of 2 North.
- Cohorted group activities. (limit of 10)
- Only 1 Designated Care Partner visit at a time per resident on 2 North.
- General visits are suspended on 2nd floor North during the outbreak.
On February 26, 2022, Public Health declared a Respiratory Outbreak on the 2nd Floor North at Lee Manor. There are three residents experiencing symptoms, they are isolating and receiving care. The residents have been tested for COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses. Results are pending at this time.
We have activated our outbreak protocols and the following enhancements are in place to help manage the situation:
- Enhanced infection prevention and control measures are in place.
- In-room dining service is being implemented for all residents of 2 North.
- As a precaution, all residents on 2 North are isolating.
- Only 1 Designated Care Partner visit at a time per resident on 2 North.
- General visits are suspended on 2nd floor North during the outbreak.
