Small business grants now available through Business Enterprise Centre
Grey County’s Business Enterprise Centre is once again offering two grant programs this summer to assist local small businesses.
New and early-stage small business owners can receive training and business skills development as well as mentorship from local business leaders from the Starter Company Plus Program. Participants may be eligible for a grant of up to $5,000 to help with start-up and expansion costs.
The Summer Company Program offers high school and post-secondary students the opportunity to start and manage their own summer business. Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to $3,000 as well as valuable training and mentorship from local business leaders.
Applications for the Starter Company Plus are open until April 19 at grey.ca/bec. Summer Company Program applications are currently open until May 17 at ontario.ca/page/start-summer-company-students for students between the ages of 15-29.
The Business Enterprise Centre offers mentorship and can connect business owners with advisors or training or help point people to additional tools. Visit grey.ca/bec for more information or email bec [at] grey.ca.
