Student Makers Market Micro Grant Program

A new program offered through the Grey County Business Enterprise Centre is providing learning opportunities and grant funding to young entrepreneurs from across the region. Through the Student Makers Market Micro Grant Program, approved students will receive grants of $750 to be used towards the creation or continued development of a product.

Successful applicants will participate in two one-hour webinars focused around business skills and resources and will have the opportunity to sell their products at the Student Makers Market scheduled for December 5, 2020. If the Market cannot be safely held in person on that date, it will be moved online to a virtual market.

“The Maker’s Market is a great opportunity for students to learn entrepreneurial skills and bring their product ideas to life. Best of all, products will be available just in time for the holiday season,” said Courtney Miller, manager of the Business Enterprise Centre with Grey County.

Funding for the Student Makers Market Micro Grant Program is provided by the Province of Ontario and administered through the Grey County Business Enterprise Centre.

Applications are open now and close October 19, 2020. The program is set to begin November 2, 2020. Spaces for the program are limited and individuals are encouraged to apply soon.
