UPDATED: GTR service between Shelburne and Orangeville to continue
Updated August 29, 2024:
Dufferin County Council has approved a motion to provide subsidy funding for the Grey Transit Route 2, running between Shelburne and Orangeville on a month-to-month basis for up to four months. Stops in Shelburne will not be discontinued in September as previously announced.

Notice to Shelburne GTR passengers:
The Grey Transit Route (GTR) is a rural transit service managed by Grey County and operated under a contract with Driverseat Owen Sound. Currently, the Highway 10 route between Dundalk and the Orangeville GO station is operating above capacity, preventing some Grey County residents from using the service when they need it.
Since the GTR is funded by the Grey County tax levy, we have made the difficult decision to end service within the Town of Shelburne. Starting September 2, GTR vehicles will no longer stop in Shelburne unless a passenger is either originating from or traveling to a Grey County destination. As a Grey County funded service, the GTR must prioritize availability for Grey County residents. The GTR does not receive any funding from the Town of Shelburne or Dufferin County.
We understand this news may disappoint Dufferin County riders. If you have comments or questions about this decision, please direct them to the Town of Shelburne at info [at] shelburne.ca (info[at]shelburne[dot]ca).
Please do not direct your comments to Driverseat employees.
