Asset Management
Asset management is the system used to track the quantity, condition and value of county-owned assets.
What is asset management?
Asset Management is an ongoing process for Grey County.
As of 2021, Grey County managed and maintained more than $1.4 billion in publicly owned assets. These assets include our roads and bridges, buildings, housing properties, our fleet of vehicles, equipment, technology and much more.
Grey County has adopted an Asset Management Strategy to help ensure we are making the best decisions when it comes to maintaining and replacing these assets. The Strategy also helps County Council to maintain funding reserves to ensure annual tax levels remain stable, even in years when heavy investment is needed into County assets.
