Emergency Assistance

Emergency Assistance provides one-time assistance to individuals and families in crisis when an application for Ontario Works is not appropriate.  If you are eligible for emergency assistance, the amount you get will depend on your specific situation. You will not get more than what you would get on Ontario Works.

You are not eligible for Emergency Assistance if you are already receiving assistance from Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program

After completing an application for Emergency Assistance you will be contacted by Grey County Social Services to discuss your situation.  An application for Ontario Works may be necessary and you will be redirected to the Ontario Works Online Application.
